We are committed to efficient use of water. To this extent Hot Desert Landscaping works with clients to regulate irrigation timers, valves and drip systems. Each client receives literature on good watering practices, with discussion on how to continue these practices once we leave. By use of instruction and supplemental literature we encourage clients to use water carefully in all their irrigation needs. We test soil for nutrients and add amendments to correct soil that has become depleted. Plants with different watering needs are grouped together when possible, using Xeriscape principles. Lawns are converted into desert landscaping, more suitable for climate and for reduction in water consumption.  Water harvesting (retaining water from rainfall) is suggested, and cacti and other succulents, are highly recommended.
